Dr. Tamara I. Thorn

Dr. Thorn is an advanced psychiatric practitioner, trainer, and supervisor. She is a board certified telemental health provider (BC-TMH), nationally certified physician assistant (PA-C, DFAAPA, CAQ-Psychiatry), licensed clinical social worker (DSW, LCSW, DCSW), certified substance abuse counselor (MAC, E-CADC, CAADC/LCAS, MATS), and certified clinical supervisor (CCS, BCD, ACS, NCSE). Dr. Thorn holds the following degrees: Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc, 2019), Doctor of Social Work (DSW, May 2024), Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS, 2009), and a Master of Social Work (MSW, 2002). She has worked in the mental health and addiction profession for more than 20 years and in a variety of settings. Dr. Thorn is the owner/operator of Assessment, Continuing Education, and Supervision (ACES), Inc., the Sorority Sister Supermart, Inc. e-commerce store, and The Traveling Physician Assistant. Dr. Thorn holds memberships in several professional and service organizations, which include Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (23-year Diamond Life Member), the Links, Inc., the Junior League-Savannah (Sustainer), Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), and the Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow).
